Yeah, it seems right to put out a monthly movie guide right at the middle of a specific month…it sure distracts from the timeliness, but I just hope this would be informative enough to help you out (provided you are in the Metro Manila area)

Titles in italics are Philippine films (forgive my bluntness, but I generally avoid them like the freakin’ plague).  Titles in orange are my own personal picks…reviews are forthcoming soonish.

Yes, I will also be watching There Will Be Blood…to balance the one-two quality punch, I shall also be catching Jumper and (maybe) The Spiderwick Chronicles.  Jumper is on top of my list ’coz of Samuel L. Jackson (aka MacemuthafuckinWindu) and the oh-so-luscious Rachel Bilson*

If my national guilt – polished by my unshakeable decision NEVER to patronise any of the Metro Manila Film Festival titles – gets the better of me, I might just see Endo in lieu of The Spiderwick Chronicles.

On my priority list, Atonement has a slight edge over Vantage Point…gotta have my Keira Knightley fix.  Vantage Point and (maybe again) The Assasination of Jesse James should then give me my needed adrenaline boosts after the my Keira binge.

Bleh week…just what I need after two successive weeks of multiple moviegoing.  A couple of seemingly-boring ”prestige titles”, a WTF one (The Flock – what can one expect in a film with Richard Gere, Claire Danes and…teen rocker Avril Lavigne!?!?!), a couple of meeh titles (Dan In Real Life, Step Up 2 The Streets).   

If I might be in the right mood, though, I may as well give The Water Horse a chance….
